Last night, we celebrated our 40 years in luxury travel in style, with a special 40th Anniversary Gala Awards Dinner hosted by our Managing Director, Paul Cleary, and Head of Sales, Rebecca Bryson.
The evening saw our top performing agents in attendance, whose success was highlighted during a glamorous awards ceremony. Categories included Best Newcomer, Individual Award for Excellence, the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Support, and the all-important Agent of the Year. 
Representatives from British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, One&Only Resorts, Elegant Hotels, Seabourn, Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc and the Jamaica Tourist Board were in attendance, amongst other key Caribtours partners and suppliers.
Attending all the way from the Caribbean were Jade Mountain owner and architect, Nick Troubetzkoy, as well as Karen and Wayne Capaldi from Coral Reef Club and The Sandpiper. Sports icon Annabel Croft was also in attendance; the tennis star has a partnership with Caribtours through her company, Annabel Croft Holidays.

The Gala Dinner was also a chance for us to celebrate our brand new 2020 brochures, Our Caribbean and Our Beautiful World, and our Managing Director Paul Cleary spoke of how we've diversified this year by adding new destinations Turkey and Santorini to our portfolio, as well as a new cruise option in Seabourn, and even our brand new brochure Our Boutique Collection which focuses on small and intimate boutique hotels that can’t always be found on booking engine websites.
Speaking on the event, Paul said: “As a privately-owned independent luxury tour operator, it is imperative to keep moving, keep evolving and to ensure that you stay relevant. Our new range of 2020 programmes places us perfectly to face the challenges that lie ahead in the next 12 months. As always, Caribtours attributes its success to the support and commitment of our excellent travel agent partners.”
Following the awards ceremony, there was a prize draw; Mike Williams from The Caribbeanist won five nights at Blue Waters Resort & Spa, followed by a three-night all-inclusive stay at Jumby Bay in Antigua, with return British Airways Club Class seats.
10 nights in Barbados, staying five nights at Tamarind by Elegant Hotels then five nights at either Coral Reef Club or The Sandpiper, with return British Airways Club Class flights, was won by Tracy Williams from Cannon Travel.
And a fantastic 10-night twin centre, including five nights at Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados, and five nights at Mandarin Oriental, Canouan, with return Premium tickets with Virgin Atlantic was won by Kathryn Brierley from The Healthy Holiday Company.
