Ellerman House is a boutique bolt-hole with just 11 rooms, two suites and two three-bedroom villas. Each is individually designed and includes a satellite TV, fully-stocked snack bar, complimentary WiFi, air conditioning and under floor-heating, and most offer ocean views.
The culinary team here deliver spectacular South African-inspired fare, with menus influenced by the seasons, and an extensive collection of 7,500 wines. There is also a 24-hour guest pantry, stocked daily with freshly-baked cakes and pastries.
Facilities include a heated swimming pool, fitness centre and dedicated art gallery and sculpture garden, of which personalised tours can be arranged, or guests can choose to take a self-guided iPad tour. The spa is set in the gardens overlooking the ocean and includes a couples’ massage room, sauna and steam room.
