Accommodation

All 250 newly refreshed rooms and suites convey a refined elegance and are fitted with the latest technology, including high speed internet access, 42” flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod docking station, tea/coffee making facilities and a mini bar with complimentary water, juices and soft drinks. All rooms feature a combined bedroom and sitting area, and an elegant marble bathroom with a separate shower and bath. Deluxe Rooms can be mountain, garden or sea view, or upgrade to a Bustan Lagoon Access Room for a private sunbathing terrace with loungers and direct access to one of the hotel’s lagoons. The suites are more spacious, and Executive Mountain View or Sea View Suites, located on the seventh and the eighth floors, have a separate lounge/dining area and walk-in wardrobe.

Restaurants And Bars

There are three restaurants, a main bar and a lobby lounge. Al Khiran Terrace serves a different themed buffet each evening, including flavours from Italy to Thailand, and dishes from seafood to steak, with indoor and al fresco seating options. The Beach Pavilion Restaurant is great for a light lunch or delicious seafood in a beachfront setting, while China Mood offers authentic Chinese cuisine for dinner only.

Facilities

As you might expect, facilities here are second to none, with possibly the widest range of sporting and leisure options in the Gulf region. Activities on offer include snorkelling, windsurfing and kayaking (at a charge), there are four tennis courts and six outdoor swimming pools, including a children’s pool, plus a children’s playground. We also must not forget to mention the beautiful private beach, perfect for an afternoon stroll. The Six Senses Spa, built in the style of a traditional Omani fort, with a backdrop of mountains, offers over 33,000 sq feet of facilities over three floors. Facilities include 17 treatment rooms, three Hammams, a steam room and saunas, a ladies club complete with relaxation lounge, a pool and an additional stretch of private beach. The spa also houses a gym, wellness rooms and yoga and meditation studios. Fans of Six Senses will be pleased to see locally-inspired treatments, combined with body balancing therapies and Ayurveda, and a selection of yoga packages from the resort’s in-house yoga master. The Ritz Kids club offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, including face painting, water games, cooking and art classes.

Important Information

The hotel is currently closed for major renovations. It will be re-opening in November 2018.
