Six Senses Laamu’s villas are eco-friendly, yet luxurious in every way and sit on the beach or over the turquoise water of the lagoon. Service is second to none, with six senses gems (guest experience makers) overseeing every need from arrival to departure.

Villas are beautifully presented and include outdoor rain showers and sun decks. Beach Villas boast a garden, outdoor bathroom and dining deck, while Water Villas offer baths made entirely of glass and aquarium dining decks with all-glass tables. Restaurants and bars have been designed to take maximum advantage of the island’s idyllic beauty with panoramic views and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Most are over the water making Laamu’s restaurant and bar scene one of the largest of its kind in the Maldives. The resort offers a number of experiences from beach picnics and sandbank dining to sunset cruises and island hopping. Little ones are entertained at The Den, a dedicated kids club, while adults can indulge at the Six Senses Spa, relaxing with a massage or trying aerial yoga.

Airport Transfer

A 50 minute domestic flight and onward 15 minute speedboat transfer from Malé airport.

The only resort in the remote Laamu Atoll.

Accommodation

97 stylishly appointed water and beach villas have been crafted from sustainably sourced materials to create a natural yet luxurious aesthetic. Water Villas sit on stilts over the lagoon and include an opulent sunken glass bath with ocean views, as well as a raised dining deck. Beach Villas have direct access to the powdery white sands, plus a private garden with day beds and a fantastic treetop-level dining deck with panoramic views. All villas feature air-conditioning, a BOSE entertainment system, 37” flat screen satellite TV, WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities, and many also have their own private plunge pool. Beach Family Villas with Pool have a separate study that can sleep up to 2 children under 12 yrs and Two Bedroom Lagoon Beach and Ocean Beach Villas with Pool have 2 bedrooms, each with their own shower, and a separate central living room.

 

Restaurants And Bars

The culinary offering is superb, with 6 unique dining venues to choose from. Leaf, the resort’s signature restaurant, is all about organic, locally sourced ingredients, while the exclusive Zen seats just 12 guests each night on an atmospheric over-water deck, and offers a modern take on traditional Japanese cuisine. Longitude is an airy two-storey space where breakfast and à la carte dinner are served daily, the Chill Bar is the place for sunset cocktails, and there’s also a pool bar, ice cream parlour and the scandalously indulgent Chocolate Studio.

Facilities

The waters around the resort offer superb diving and snorkelling, and there is a huge range of watersports on offer, including surfing, catamaran sailing, wakeboarding, waterskiing and windsurfing. Other facilities include volleyball, table tennis and the superb beachfront Six Senses Spa, with 4 specially designed couple’s treatment nests, 4 couple’s pavilions and a secluded Ayurvedic treatment area. The Den is the resort’s complimentary kids’ club (3-11 yrs), where your little ones can enjoy indoor and outdoor games, treasure hunts, cookery lessons and movies. The resort can also organise a range of excursions, including island hopping trips or a private picnic on a deserted beach.
