111 individual villas are dotted along the north east coast of the island and set amongst the beautiful natural scenery. All accommodation combines chic, tropical style with rich, dark woods and natural floors and comes equipped with an indoor and outdoor shower, a private patio, living area, flat screen TV, DVD player, complimentary WiFi and a mini bar. Garden Villas have beautiful garden views whilst Beachfront Villas offer direct access to the sand and some also boast private plunge pools. We highly recommend upgrading to a Deluxe Beachfront Pool Villa, just steps from the shore, with private gardens, a large patio and private pool, or to a King Sanctuary Pool Villa with a striking two-person bath looking out onto your own tropical garden, complete with cascading waterfall infinity pool. There is also the Two Bedroom Silhouette Estate with a superior and secluded location up on the hillside, offering stunning ocean views, a large private pool, two en suite bedrooms and butler service.
Eight restaurants and bars serve Creole, Italian, Asian and international cuisine. A special mention must go to the grilled Japanese delights at Teppanyaki, prepared as you watch from a live show kitchen. We can also highly recommend Portobello, for its homemade pasta and beautiful setting by the lake with views of Mount Dauban. Sakura is the innovative Asian restaurant, where sushi and sashimi are joined by flavoursome curries, meat and fish and Aria and Lo Brizan Bar is a laid-back lunch option, with a menu of light snacks, wine and cocktails, accompanied by live entertainment. Grann Kaz, the resort’s signature dining experience, is housed in the restored plantation home of the Dauban Family, former owners of the island; a five-minute walk from the resort, modern Creole cuisine is on the menu at this unique and atmospheric heritage site.
The resort has a large swimming pool with Jacuzzi and extensive watersports including snorkelling, kayaking, sailing and fishing. Scuba diving is also a big draw here with the region’s only five-star PADI dive centre on site. In addition, tennis, Padel court, table tennis, a gym, hiking trails and Eforea Spa are available for your sport and relaxation needs. For the youngsters, the Jungle Fun Kids’ Club, for ages 4-12 yrs, offers indoor and outdoor play areas and activities include coconut painting, arts and crafts and treasure hunts.
