There are 24 supremely spacious suites and villas, all with a private pool or plunge pool, generously proportioned terrace, air conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi, iPod dock, Sonos speakers, Nespresso machine, mini bar, in-room safe and luxurious bathroom amenities by Hermès and Acqua di Parma. All suites and villas enjoy sea and sunset views, and you’ll be welcomed to the hotel with a complimentary signature cocktail, bottle of wine and fruit selection. The two bedroom villas accommodate up to five people and are suitable for families; the split-level Aqua Retreat Two Bedroom Pool Villa is particularly stunning, and includes a private garden with hammock.

The Elements Restaurant & Bar serves artfully presented modern European cuisine with Greek flourishes, against a backdrop of some of Santorini’s finest sunset views. In addition to the à la carte menu, executive chef Tasos Stefatos has created a spectacular six-course tasting menu, complete with optional wine pairing. In-room dining is also available, and the poolside bar mixes up a cracking selection of craft cocktails.

The heated infinity pool has been carefully positioned to face the sunset, and there are private cabanas around the pool available to rent. The hotel is strolling distance from Oia’s Katharos beach, and there is a complimentary shuttle into the centre of Oia if you don’t fancy the walk. Other amenities include a fitness area and a treatment room for massage and spa treatments, with complimentary daily yoga sessions available. Children’s facilities are limited, but babysitting is available at an additional charge.
